In the market for a soundbar that won’t break the bank but still packs a punch? Look no further than the Polk Audio Signa S2. I was a bit worried about sound quality with such a slim design, but let me tell you, this little guy is impressive.
Setting it up was a breeze. All the cables you need, HDMI and optical, came right in the box. I plugged the HDMI cable into the ARC slot on my TV, turned on the soundbar, and bam! The TV recognized it instantly, switched off its own speakers, and started pumping the sound through the soundbar. Plus, there’s this handy audio level bar that pops up on the screen whenever I adjust the volume with either the TV remote or the soundbar remote. Super convenient!
The wireless subwoofer was just as easy. Plugged it in, and it connected to the soundbar automatically. There’s also a manual way to connect if needed, but I didn’t have to mess with that. Using it is simple too. The soundbar remote lets you fine-tune the sound, but once I got it how I liked it, I’ve been using the TV remote for everything. Another cool feature is that the soundbar goes into sleep mode when the TV is off and wakes up when you turn it back on. One thing to keep in mind is that it works with Dolby 2.1 content, but you can’t add more speakers to it later. Overall, for the price, this Polk Audio Signa S2 is a great buy! Read more…
