Nano Projectors – Very Small Can Actually Be Really Big

Digital projectors these days are used in many different ways. They are put
to use for business presentations, classroom teaching, any kind of
conventions, but also for leisure, e.g. playing computer games at home.

While there are many different projectors to choose from, most of them are
rather heavy and bulky in design. For instance, the C.R.T. (the cathode-ray
tube) projector gives you pretty much the biggest screen size possible, but
is also by far the largest projector-style among all the others.

Given the fact that we live now in the era of true mobility where
“multitasking” is really an absolute normal thing, almost all of today’s
technology – tools and gadgets have become a lot more portable. Today, one
can easily check his/her emails or chat with family and friends while being
on the road, or even check on the stock-market while e.g. buying groceries.

And now, even the digital projectors have become smaller sized and
portable! These type of projectors are also referred to as “hand-held”
projectors, “pocket sized” projectors, or “mobile” projectors. Now there
are even so called ‘Nano’ projectors available, pocket-size projectors that
can be carried quite easily.

What is a Nano Projector and how do they work?

Contrary to the technology of their larger counterparts, the digital light
processing (DLP) projectors and also the liquid-crystal-display (LCD)
projectors, the ‘Nano’ projector employs a laser-based source of light. The
DLP and the LCD projectors use a conventional source of light which can
merely transmit around 15% of its energy to the actual projected image,
while the remainder will be depleted as heat. A laser-based light source on
the other hand, is a lot more focused, thus generating a more efficient
projection.

Some ‘Nano’ projectors merge LED and laser light which reduces cost and
improves the performance of the projector.

The Mobility of Nano Projectors

Nowadays, many cellular phones have the space to save enough pictures to
fill up an entire photo-album. However, nowadays people usually don’t
bother with hard-cover albums any more. Instead, people distribute pictures
via email or by simply showing the actual pictures on their cellphones to
their friends. Then again, the display size of these cellphones limits the
sharing-experience; therefore, the best way is using so called
projector-phones.

As a result of this innovation, people who are a lot ‘on the go’ can now
very easily arrange presentations for smaller sized groups of people, e.g.
potential customers.

All the presenter at this point has to do is to hook up the ‘nano’
projector to her/his tablet PC, smartphone, or iPad; this will provide a
client with a far better viewing experience than when the business
presentation takes place merely on the display of a mobile phone.

Certainly, being ‘smaller’ is actually a big thing these days. With the
nano projectors, it is now actually possible to share pics as well as
presentations any time and at any place.
